Software Engineer

The successful applicant will be responsible for developing our Space Edge Services platform. This is a mostly backend focused role, with some minor frontend work done. This will involve:

  • Setting up continuous integration, auto testing, and general devops

  • Deploying and scaling APIs, web services, and websites

  • Setting up security infrastructure, access controls, management of certificates, and API keys

  • Working with a mix of local, cloud (AWS), and space infrastructure

  • Some software architecture and product management work

We are seeking a candidate with skills in Python web development with Flask or Django and REST API architectures. The successful applicant will be a key part of our team from day one. Work hours are flexible, and work from home arrangements may be made. We are offering up to $100,000 in salary, with additional stock options to be negotiated.

The successful applicant should:

  • Be passionate about space

  • Be an Australian citizenship (no exceptions)

  • Have 3+ years relevant experience working with web applications at scale

  • Possess strong organisational skills

We are seeking someone who can start by mid year or sooner.

Business Development Internship

This is a paid position funded under the Defence Industry Internship Program. Work hours are full-time but flexible, and work from home arrangements may be made. 

The successful applicant should:

  • Have an Australian citizenship

  • Be a 3rd or 4th year undergraduate student studying a relevant degree

  • Be proficient in Python and other programming languages

  • Have relevant work, volunteer, or internship experience
