Cofounder and CEO of Spiral Blue, Taofiq Huq, was in attendance at the Australian Space Research Conference on the Gold Coast. At the conference, Taofiq pitched Spiral Blue's Piracy Early Warning System as part of a "goldfish tank" pitch competition, alongside 4 other startups.

The pitch was well received by the panel of judges, including Saber Astronautics CEO Jason Held, Gilmour Space Director James Gilmour, and angel investor Guy Brown, and we came third out of the five participants, behind the illustrious HEO Robotics and Leo Aerospace. Following the pitch, we received excellent feedback from the panel, and made a number of valuable contacts in academia and defence.

In the spirit of reconciliation, Spiral Blue acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past, present and emerging and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
